MY STORY

Originally from Scotland I moved to London to train in Musical Theatre (MA, PGDip) at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Whilst training I competed in the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre Award and became the only student to reach the finals.

Shortly after graduating I made my West End debut in The Sound of Music at the London Palladium. Since then I've appeared in many regional productions and toured the UK with Mamma Mia!  I'm currently in the West End cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie. I play Jamie's teacher Miss Hedge, though I assure you I'm a much nicer teacher in real life! In addition, I have extensive experience as a vocalist in various concerts and studio recordings.

I have been teaching the performing arts alongside performing professionally since 2006. As well as private students I have taught for The BRIT School, The London School of Music, Big Creative Education and The Barbara Speake Stage School. I find my experience as a professional artist has enriched my practice. As part of my commitment to my professional development I obtained a BA (Hons) Theatre from The Guildford School of Acting last year.

I have created and delivered West End and Drama Workshops for the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), Birmingham Stage Company, Stagecoach, Trinity Laban and many more!

For the past 3 years I have been coaching for LAMDA Communication exams with my students achieving an 85% pass rate at Distinction. I currently teach the Verse & Prose, Acting and Musical Theatre Syllabus.

Since lockdown I have successfully moved all my teaching online!
